You Go Girl

I just realised that I'm actually creating memories through my cards.
This month two years ago I became an American citizen.
I was not excited about it and it took me few good years to start the process.
But right there, at the naturalization ceremony, surrounded by all these people that finally fulfilled their dream, I realised that WOW, so many people willing to do so much, pay so much and go through so much in order to become an American citizen. I didn't plan, and it was not even on my wish list. I was naturally lucky to get married and have kids to American. I didn't have to do much for it. And yes, I did find myself crying there.
This card is a little reminder of this milestone, and that nothing is for granted!
I do appreciate this country, and I do love my life here, although I'm far away from my family and friends. I got a great new family and friends here, that I could not find elsewhere.

I combined 3 different challenges in these card:
IBSC#11
MOJO Monday #244
Dynamic Duos #5

Featured Artist - Luna

Hello everyone,

Sunday night, while I was working on my card, my 7 years old daughter, Luna, joined me and worked on her card following guidelines of two challenges.

IBSC #10 sketch and CR84FN #55 color challenge.

Luna is a great artist, I'm inspired by her in so many ways. Since early age her favorite thing to do when she is back from school is arts and crafts.
Last year for her sixth birthday she got from her BFF a great set of Faber-Castell watercolor crayons and here is the first picture she drew.

This year she attends an art class and every week we are excited to see the new picture.
Here is one of my favorite ones.

I am so proud and impressed of this little girl :)

Happy Mothers Day

Hey everybody,
Here is my Mothers Day creation.
With lots of love and respect for all of my moms: My beloved mom that is over seas in Israel. My mother in law that is the best MIL ever and help me out with so many things all the time. My step mother in law that is great spiritual soul, I always enjoy having conversation with her and she picks the best cards that are touching deep in my heart. My last mom is my friend Ruti, without her I was lost here - she leaves down the street and just like a mom for me and grandma for my kids - cooking for us, picking up the kids from school if we can not make it, making sure I'm OK and above all LOVING us. I wouldn't have these pretty elements on my cards without her - Her studio is scrapper/crafter H-E-A-V-E-N she has thousands of thousands of flowers, laces, ribbons, fabrics, buckles, buttons and the list is very long still... and all of these items that some of them are real vintage are available at her etsy store: http://www.etsy.com/shop/Toide .

I submit this card for two fun challenges:

Inspired By Stampin IBSIC #6 sketch:

And for the combo colors challenge of CR84FN challenge #53:

As a little girl I remember my mom always being dressed nice and classic. So when I think of MOM I see a clean and neat petite lady, although I'm a mom and far from that.
This card shows this image that I have in my had since childhood. I love my mom and appreciate all what she have done for me all my life and keep doing for me even being far far away. This card with all of it's details make me feel home, reminds me my mom's warmth from a child point of view. I love you Mom! Happy mothers day!

Love this cameo and lace flower...

So happy I found this pearls embellishment at Michaels, I was hoping to find something like this that in one hand looks like pearl necklace and in the other hand has the outline of the banner in the sketch. Something that is soft and feminine and also stands out by itself.

7 years of motherhood

Last Friday was Luna's 7th birthday. My little baby is 7 now. Time is just flying.
So at the last couple of weeks whenever she have been asked what does she want for her birthday, she said a puppy. Oooo lord... a puppy?! I can not take a puppy now, no way. These kids have to grow up a little bit before I can put a puppy on my list. And it's not that I don't like or don't want to have one. It's just a lot of work... and I have enough of that at this point :)
So, the solution was - a puppy birthday card :) well, at least to show some empathy to the untaken puppy.

I also like that this cricut puppy is Hula hooping, and Luna is a great Hula Hooper, so it was a perfect card for her, and she had a great birthday.

love you Lulik ...

Have a happy day

 Anniversary Card

Fresh from the oven for IBSIC #4 challenge and for CR84FN Color Challenge #52.

April is my month, lots of reasons to celebrate in April. Start with my birthday, My daughter's birthday, my MIL's birthday and at the very end our Anniversary.
In our anniversaries we not only celebrate our marriage but also the existence of our growing nest. I was inspired by my own nest to show my love and appreciation for husband in our coming up anniversary.

I heart Babushkas!

Since I remember myself I love Nesting dolls. As a little girl I used to play with them at my grandparents and other older relatives homes. They where always there, in different colors and sizes. I loved their texture, I loved their smell, they kept me busy for hours then and they keep me busy now. Today, I love them for being modest and shy, they represent for me my childhood, my roots, my family, far away places, a culture that I have never really knew and the love for crafting and the value of handmade items.

Happily, my daughter and my friend's daughter carry our Babushka's love on and collecting these wooden critters with love.
Elinor, My friend Anat's daughter turned 9 last week, we picked this babushka for her card, to add another dimension to her collection :)

For this card used:
Card Stock - www.couturecardstock.com - orange card
Background - DCWV - Sweet 8X8
Babushka body - DCWV - The Blossom Song - 12X12
Blings - Recollection - Green and Blue
Babushka - Cricut Cartridge - Paisley Cachemire - cut at 4"

Birthday Card - Using Cricut Give A Hoot Cartridge

I love this card! I made it to my friend Laura, for her birthday.
I had no time to make something from scratch and I had this little guy ready to go in one of my boxes. I cut him when I first got the Give A Hoot cart and thought that he is the cutest Buddy over there. I cut few acorns alons with him and used them as well on the card as you can see in the pictures below.
The pattern paper is from K&Company Sweet Nectar stack - I love this stack, it's so colorful and happy, very springy. The colorful ribbon was found hiding in my ribbons box. Stamps - Make a wish - Studio G, Thinking Of You - Inkadinkado #98780.

SO, one acorn was used as a stamp - which I thought was a great Idea, as my friend Laura, is working at the post Office - where I visit daily.

Inside the card I embellished with another acorn, stamped Happy Birthday and wrought my sentiment. Easy...

Basic Grey - February born step mother in law birthday card

My beloved step mother in law just celebrated her birthday last month. Her birthstone is Amethyst, so she is basically a purple lover.
I dug in my paper boxes and found this super pretty Basic Grey pattern paper that was the inspiration for the whole card. I <3 Basic Grey!!!
The flower was cut with Cricut using Spring Fever Seasonal Cart. Recollection Happy Birthday Stamp. Purple ribbon and purple blings. I doodled around, inking around and  Tadammmm...
She, off course, was thrilled to receive it with the kids pictures to her mailbox

Cricut Cup Cake Birthday Card

It's birthday time again...
As a mother for three little ones we have lots of reasons to keep cut these cute and yummy cupcakes. This time I used a cream card base, brown embossed cardstock (Cuttlebug Polka Dots Embossing File), Cupcake die is from my favorite Cricut Cartridge - Straight From The Nest. I used a pink cardstock for the shadow, Polka Dots Pattern paper from DCWV stack - the Celebration stack. The cupcake top is magenta cardstock that I sticklled. And of course red cherry on top.
I used Martha Stewart Crafts paper tape - Modern Festive Paper Tape - Polka Dots.
Happy Birthday stamp - Recollections 5 stamps pack.
Twine - De Nami Design - turquoise and white.
I inked all pieces with pink or light brown pigment inks that I have.

Keep cutting...
